What’s a widget offer?
Widget offers are interactive, engaging, and provide instant gratification—an effective way to capture attention. They can be used in various ways to offer discounts, free shipping, or even a free gift with purchase. Widget offers can be placed on the homepage, product page, or any landing page to showcase limited-time promotions that attract customers.
How to create a widget offer?
Navigate to the “Apps” section of your Shopify store. Then, click the Simple Promotions & Upsells app.
Click on the “Widget” from the left menu. Then, click on the “Create Widget” button.
1. General Settings
You can configure your general widget offer settings in this section. If you’d like to add widgets without publishing them, you can save them as inactive by selecting ‘Off’ from the ‘Widget Status’ dropdown on the right.
Widget Name: This is the name visible only to you. Set a name for your widget to help you differentiate it later.
Widget Status: Use this field to turn your offer on or off.
Widget Priority: This field determines the display order of your widgets. Widgets with a lower priority number will be displayed first. If multiple widgets share the same priority, they will appear in a random order. To display a widget first, set its priority to “1.”
3. Eligibility Triggers (Optional)
You can use eligibility triggers to display your offers under specific conditions, enabling you to target various customer types with a wide range of options. If you don’t see the trigger you need, please let us know. This configuration is entirely optional—if you’d like your offers to be visible to all visitors, there’s no need to add any triggers.
3. Promotional Products
You can select the products you’d like to promote to your customers through your offer. For example, if you’re promoting macbook, you can ensure that the relevant products you choose are displayed. Simply type a few letters and click search.
4. Visibility
You can display your offer at multiple locations of your store or you can just select one location.
Sitewide: Your offer will be displayed on all pages of your store.
Cart Page: Your offer will only be displayed on the Cart Page of your store.
Thank You Page: Your offer will only be displayed on the Thank You Page (Order Success Page) of your store.
