What is a Pop-up?
A pop-up is a small window that appears unexpectedly on a user’s screen while they’re browsing. It ‘pops up’ to showcase special offers or messages. Pop-ups can be effective for quickly communicating your offer during a brief moment of attention.
How to create a popup offer?
Navigate to the “Apps” section of your Shopify store.
Click the Simple Promotions & Upsells app.
Click on the “Popup” from the left menu.
Click on the “Add Popup” button.
1. General Settings
You can configure your general pop-up offer settings in this section. If you wish to add pop-ups without publishing them, you can save them as ‘turned off’ using the ‘Popup Status’ dropdown on the right.
Popup Name: This is the name visible only to you. You need to set a name for your pop-up to easily differentiate it later.
Popup Frequency: By default, a visitor will see your offer once every 24 hours. For example, you can change the 24 to 12 if you want to display your offer every 12 hours to the same visitor.
Popup Status: This is the field where you turn on or turn off your offer.
Popup Priority: The priority field determines the order in which pop-ups are displayed. Pop-ups with a lower priority number will appear first. If multiple pop-ups share the same priority, they will be displayed in random order. To display a specific pop-up first, set its priority to ‘1’.
2. Eligibility Triggers (Optional)
You can use eligibility triggers to display your offers under specific conditions, allowing you to target different types of customers with nearly unlimited options. If you don’t see the trigger you need, please let us know. This configuration is entirely optional—if you’d like to display your offers to all visitors, there’s no need to add any triggers.
3. Promotional Products
You can select the products you’d like to promote to your customers with your offer. For example, if you’re promoting ‘Asus’, you can ensure the relevant products you choose are displayed. Simply type a few letters and click search.
4. Visibility
You can display your offer at multiple locations of your store or you can just select one location.
Sitewide: Your offer will be displayed on all pages of your store.
Cart Page: Your offer will only be displayed on the Cart Page of your store.
Thank You Page: Your offer will only be displayed on the Thank You Page (Order Success Page) of your store.
