What’s a Post Purchase Offer?
Implementing post-purchase offers can significantly boost your business’s AOV (average order value) by giving customers the opportunity to add additional products to their orders even after completing the initial checkout process.
How can I create a post-purchase offer?
Navigate to the “Apps” section of your Shopify store.
Click the Simple Promotions & Upsells app.
Click on the “Post Purchase” from the left menu.
Click on the “Add Post Purchase” button.
1. General Settings
You can configure your general post-purchase offer settings in this section. If you wish to add a post-purchase offer without publishing it, you can save it as ‘turned off’ using the ‘Post Purchase Status’ dropdown on the right.
Post Purchase Name: This name will be visible only to you. You need to set a name for your post-purchase offer to easily differentiate it later.
Post Purchase Status: This is the field where you turn on or turn off your offer.
Post Purchase Priority: The priority field determines which post-purchase offer should be displayed first. The post-purchase offer with the lower priority number will be shown first. If multiple post-purchase offers have the same priority, they will be displayed in random order. To display a specific post-purchase offer first, set its priority to ‘1’.
2. Eligibility Triggers (Optional)
You can use eligibility triggers to display your offers under specific conditions, allowing you to easily target different types of customers with nearly unlimited options. If you don’t see the trigger you need, please let us know. This configuration is entirely optional—if you’d like to display your offers to all visitors, there’s no need to add any triggers.
3. Promotional Products
You can select the products you’d like to promote to your customers with your offer. For example, if you’re promoting ‘MacBooks’, you can ensure that the relevant products you choose are displayed. Simply type a few letters and click search.
4. Preview Your Offer
This is how your offer is displayed to your customers depending on the products available in your store, right after the purchase:
5. Translations
Feel free to change the relevant headings in the language and content you prefer. Don’t hesitate to be creative!
