You can collect tax numbers from your customers by following the simple steps below.
Important Information: Inputs won’t be mandatory and can be left blank. These inputs are only designed to collect information and they won’t change anything related to your tax settings.
Step 1: Open Simple Invoice from your Shopify store’s “Apps” section.
Step 2: Click on “Settings” on the Simple Invoice dashboard.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Collect Tax Numbers section, and click on the Activate button.
Important Note: The collect tax numbers feature’s inputs can only be inserted into your cart page and user registration page, and it is not possible to insert inputs or make customizations on Shopify’s checkout page. Shopify doesn’t allow to make changes to the checkout section.
Step 4: If you wish to add additional information such as specify the tax inputs value/name, click on the Message section, add your message to the newly opened window, and click on the Send button.
Step 5: Accept our collaborator access request from the Users and permissions section under the Settings on your Shopify store admin.
Step 6: After you receive the requested feature added email, you can now change the title and select the location of the tax number from the Other Settings under the Templates.
Step 7: After making the necessary changes, Click on the Save button.
